Directions

Take Highway 24 West to Lake George. Turn a left on County Road 96. Go about one mile and turn right toward 11 Mile Canyon. Tell the gate attendant you are with Camp A and they will not charge a fee. Go about two miles and turn left at the Camp A entrance. Follow signs to the parking lot on right. No vehicles are allowed at the campsite. Please leave pets at home; no pets allowed at Camp Alexander.

Visitors

You can visit your Scout at any time during the week. Park in the lot and walk in. Check in with the camp office, and check back out when you leave. If you wish to eat your scout, meals are available for purchase at the camp office. Alcohol, all tobacco products, fireworks, and firearms are not allowed in camp.

Family Night

Friends and family are invited to join the fun Friday afternoon as the scouts participate in camp wide events. More information to follow.

Address/Phone

One pay phone is available at camp. Cell phones will not typically work. A pre-paid phone card is the easiest way for a scout to call home. Calls are limited to 2 minutes. A post card is always nice to receive at camp. Send to:

Note

Camp A and Troop 18 will not be responsible for lost or stolen items. Lockers are available. The adult leaders will have a bank available for scouts who bring money. All snack foods will be locked in the troop trailer at night. No food is allowed in tents. Camp A has several bears in the area. Tents will be checked each night. No pets allowed.
