Summer Merit Badge Opportunities

What: Athletic Merit Badge (New)
Councilor: Mr. Jim White (Click here to contact)
When: Saturday, June 13th from 9:00 AM until 12:30 PM
Where: Manitou Springs High School Track
Details: Wear appropriate clothing and shoes. 
Running and field events at the track and maybe the Middle School upper field areas.

What: Fire Safety Merit Badge (Continuation)

When: Saturday, June 6th from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM
Where: at Mr. Jim Day's house behind Miramount Castle, Manitou Springs.
Details: For scouts who April of 2014, this session is to finish the Fire Safety Merit Badge. Please complete Requirement 6A at home and bring with you.

What: Personal Fitness (Continuation)

When: Sunday, June 7th (Time TBD)
Where: Mr. Jim White's house at 2507 W Vermijo Ave Colorado Springs 80904
Details: This will be for scouts who have already started it with Mr. White. 
Make sure you bring 2 things:
1) The log of your fitness program activity
(how long you exercised; how far you ran, swam, or biked; how many exercise repetitions you completed; your exercise heart rate; etc.)
2) Your records showing the results of every two weeks redoing the aerobic, muscular and flexibility tests. There should be 12 weeks of records logged. 
Dress accordingly, we will be repeating the aerobic fitness, muscular strength, and flexibility tests.

What: Environmental Science Merit Badge (New)

Monthly Campouts, Activities,
Events, and Merit Badges

For most Campouts, Scouts will...
Meet at the Manitou Springs Pool parking lot by 4:00 pm
for a quick departure no later than 4:30 pm

Scout Masters will arrange a roll call to assure all scouts going have a ride.
The Troop Trailer has room for packs and scout gear!
