OCTOBER BOOK REVIEW

Betsy Lowery is a Dawson member and author. We are happy to have her review some of her books for us on Monday, October 23, at 10:00 am in the Social Hall. Betsy grew up in a Southern Baptist preacher's family. She was called into ministry at age 20, graduated from seminary and moved to Birmingham to work with the WMU. A review of Betsy's first book, Pause: Everyday Prayers for Everyday Women (2004) called the author "a unique and fresh voice." Now the readers of her novels are talking about her gift for fiction.
